How RivetField handles information

Fog & Iron Labs LLC operates RivetField. RivetField stores the business and customer information you enter so that it can provide your workspace, share quotes, invoices, and agreements you choose to send, record electronic signatures, and support related service.

Service providers

RivetField is designed to use Vercel for application hosting, Neon Postgres for application records, Better Auth for sign-in sessions, and Stripe for RivetField subscription billing. Optional AI drafting sends only the request you affirmatively submit to OpenAI. Optional follow-up email uses Resend only after it is enabled by the business owner.

Optional service follow-up email

RivetField does not treat a quote decision, an invoice, or an entered email address as permission for optional follow-up email. A business owner must record the customer's clear consent for that purpose. Each follow-up email includes a one-click stop link, and stopping optional email does not affect quotes, invoices, or service.

Optional work-media exchange

When a business deliberately enables the work-media exchange for a job, RivetField stores the job-related photos, videos, captions, and limited upload records that the business or its customer submits. Customer access uses a private, revocable link for one job. Customer uploads stay private until the business reviews them, and the business controls which job updates it shares back. Do not upload unrelated personal information, identification documents, or content you do not have permission to share.

Agreement delivery and electronic signatures

When a business sends an agreement through RivetField, Resend processes the recipient address and delivers a private signing link. RivetField stores the exact agreement revision, recipient, delivery status, signer's typed name, consent text, and signing time. It also stores privacy-protected hashes of limited network and browser evidence for the signing record; RivetField does not retain the raw network address in that signing record. Signing links expire and can be revoked before signing.

Founding beta applications

If you apply for the founding beta, RivetField stores the contact and business information, current workflow, testing goals, source, and contact consent you submit. Fog & Iron Labs uses that information to review product fit, manage the limited cohort, and contact you about the application. Do not include customer records or other sensitive information in an application.

Your controls

RivetField is currently a limited, free beta. Do not enter information you do not have permission to use. Before a paid or broad public release, Fog & Iron will publish a verified support contact and a production-ready account-deletion process.
